My first composition attempt. The story as it played out in my head!

We are just prior to the rut as one of the magnificent male strolls by, catching the eye of one of the younger females. These males will clash soon for her attentions.

This is a pretty old etching and rather different from the others. Instead of etching into a copper backing this one is silver and therefore very soft! Mistakes are really easy to make. This took 12 months to complete or well over 300 hrs.

Prior re-discovering drawing, etching was my hobby for a long time. These can be purchased from any art & craft stores and they are good fun.

A commissioned drawing for Yvonne Evans from her good friends Pat Ainley and Keith Martin to commemorate 30yrs of service within Greater Manchester Police.

This is "Buster" Mike Sibley\'s pet Parson Russell Terrier from Mike\'s June 2006 workshop. Buster is my first completed drawing after a 20-year break.

He took six weeks or 80 hours to complete and I will always love this drawing.

This is Markus who belonged to my wife Elaine. He died at the ripe old age of 44 years old which gained him some recognition in the local newspaper.

Meet my old dog Mac - full name "Barry McGuigan" as per the boxer. A loyal dog to the end and 18 great years. This is a christmas present for my mum which made her cry she really misses him

Mac is a subject that I\'ve wanted to draw for some time but it wasn\'t a smooth ride - it just didn\'t flow onto the paper.

Probably the most difflicult and challenging drawing to date! With a whole mixture of darks, whites and salt & pepper muzzle. I smile within when I view this! I am secretly pleased.

This cat lives close to me, he can only be described as a complete character. I founding him basking in the autumnal sunshine how could I resist just a fabulous pose.

This drawing was going to submitted into the Tameside Open Art exhibition, once again I missed the closing date.

One of my smaller drawing which was a nice challenge. Unfortunately Maisie died 24hrs before I could hand over the drawing.

I just hope this drawing provides many years of pleasure and great memories for her family.

Meet \"Pride\", my first long term project - 7 months in total or 99 hours.

I don\'t believe I have seen another artist draw a close up of a Lion\'s face so this was my challenge. I hope you like it.
